I can play the helpless southern lady to perfection after years of practice. But in fairness to myself, I am pretty sure I just assume I can’t do certain things . . . . . especially technological tasks. I am pumped that with some pretty clear directions from greetingsfromindia.wordpress.com, I changed the tagline, and entered Zero to Hero on on my post page. Until now, I didn’t even know I had a tagline! Well, I knew that statement was on the top of the page, but Erin, my tech angel, had set me up with the blog in India. She did all these tasks for me. I can’t wait to tell her!
I have decided to keep the original name of TalesAlongTheWay because it is clear and easy to remember. It does indicate travel, learning, and stories. I did change the tagline. The new one is: Life’s journey to discover tales of history, culture, and faith from New York to India and places along the way. The first one was more ambiguous. The new one is a tad long. . . . .isn’t it hard to be clear in just a few words?
And for the widget, I am not sure it is actually one but the title of the challenge is there. That is better than nothing, right?
I can’t resist telling just one story about the name of the blog. When I was talking about doing this and thinking of names, I was going to have a blog about India and was going to use it in the title. My son, Christian, suggested that I might not want to limit myself when we returned to New York. After all, I had loved teaching writing and really enjoyed being part of Mesa Writing Project. He was right and I have continued telling tales from New York, Italy, and places along the way including more tales from incredible India.
Here I sit waiting for directions for Day #3!
Now you know the rest of the story of naming TalesAlongTheWay . . . . . . . . . .

I love your blog name. And there certainly is no ambiguity in that tag line 🙂 I don’t have one, or rather I do have one but haven’t put it up because I don’t like the way it wraps around my title. Have it on my Facebook page though. It reads “To those that can dream, there is no such place as faraway” 🙂

It takes time to learn the tech stuff, but you will. You’re doing a really good job with your blog.

Thanks for the encouragement. Another friend just told me I shouldn’t have spaces in the tag so I corrected that.
I am trying. I like to learn and try new things!
Hugs!
