You have to be totally blind not to observe various hair tips or streaks of color, these days. I have seen women who have had their hair not only colored in some “nonhair” color like green, purple or pink but some of had their hair colored to GRAY! That is the one that amazes me since I pay to try to blend in the old blonde with the patches of natural gray I now have. Life is indeed strange! I am very jealous of the beautiful natural Irish white hair.
This is Alice who had , preciously, asked her mom to “tip” her hair in green. Turns out that the non-permanent product to use is Cool Aid . Worked fine and lasted through several washings. Alice was happy and mom was happy!
On one chilly morning at Canada Lake, the three girls persuaded Katie to use purple and tip their hair. She agreed and decided to use foil as in beauty shops after applying the pasty purple Cool Aid. Here is a picture of the process and the girls waiting in great anticipation to unfloil and be delighted with purple tips.
We left on the foils almost an hour to insure new color especially for the brunettes. Bummer, not a purple strand in sight and no idea why ! Oh well, off to the lake and a canoe ride!
The boys had been using sayings all week. . . . If they were successful at something. . . . . they yelled “AmeriCAN”. . . . . . . .
Now with the failed Cool Aid purple hair job. . . . . It is . AmeriCAN’T !
Sweet Memories. . . . .
