Anne T. Bell would like everyone to know about a re-enactment of the amphibious landings at D-Day on this 19-20 August.  For further information, Please check out the official site.

I found out about this living history experience from Eric Montgomery who successfully worked for five years to correct  the information of  his great-uncle who is buried in Normandy.  He is one of the organizers for this yearly commemoration. What a wonderful experience to experience this day in world history and see the unselfish  courage of the troops  as we  remember our heroes.  This event is very well  attended and I was only able to reserve a hotel in Erie, PA about 30 minutes away from Conneaut.  See you there!

https://pacificparatrooper.wordpress.com/   This is a wonderful blog by G  P Cox about the  Pacific Paratroopers.  You won’t be disappointed to follow this blog if you are a history lover !

If you are on Face Book, check out Eric P. Montgomery’s daily posts. Today he had a tribute to a veteran who has “walked  his final post.” Be sure to like and follow.

While I wish I could be there in person, Anne. I can’t, but believe me I will be there in spirit.
I think American needs a healthy dose of Patriotism and remembrance of it’s heroes at this time in view of what has taken place recently. I never thought that I would live to see the day where Gold Star parents would be subjected to ridicule, especially by a person who wants to be President. And a draft dodger to boot.
Thanks you, Anne, for reminding us of the upcoming anniversary. God Bless our Heroes like your brother. And God Bless their Gold Star families.
