James Foley, Son, Photographer, Martyr, and Hero

Seeing this interview with  James’ extraordinary parents gives me  an idea of their son’s character and heart.  One person, no matter the shortness of time they live, can make a significant difference  on others’ lives.  His work on this earth was done or was cut short.   I hope this inspires all of you as it has me!

Do you agree?

  2. Namaste. The US is definitely responsible for this. They mindlessly invade countries and once the immediate objective is achieved, vacate the premises, leaving the place to the wolves and jackals. One Saddam Hussein kept these ISIS and other sub-human species who kill in the name of religion, under check. Once he was removed ( for the WMDs ? ) and oil was re-routed, the US left.
Additionally, the very same ISIS was responsible for Syria’s troubles. The very same US supported the ISIS that was under a different name. Now the ISIS has turned against the un-armed US journalists.
The US propped up the Taliban in the 80s to drive away the Soviets from Afghanistan. And Taliban has become the number one trouble maker for the US and the world. In Afghanistan there was this Daniele Pearle who was be-headed. In Iraq it is the unfortunate Mr.Foley.
Avarice, pusillanimity and downright abandonment of the victims has become the trademark of the US wars recently. And these do not do justice to the high ideals of the founding fathers of the US – Washington, Jefferson et al.
