Thank you Erin for setting up my blog on WordPress from Ahmedabad and helping me get my first post on-line one year ago today. (This image is from WordPress to congratulate me for blogging for a year. )

Thank you Christian Bell for suggesting that I not use India in my title because I might want to blog when my time in India was over. I did and I am now thoroughly hooked on the whole process.

Ironically this came yesterday announcing that I now have 1000+ followers on WordPress, actually 1017 this morning. And 312 other followers from other various sites. I feel very happy to be sharing this milestone and I thank all my new and old followers. When I started, my goals were to leave some thoughts for my children , grandchildren and even great grandchildren as yet unborn, that they might know my thoughts in the future. And I didn’t want a traditional travel log , but postcard images and posts of special moments. It is amazing to me that that many bloggers would want to read my posts. I write more consistently with a goal in mind. Some of my former students in New York and Arizona read posts off and on. I had spent a lot of time sharing ancient civilizations with them, and was thrilled they checked out incredible India! I really had no idea about the joys of meeting people from all over the world, reading about places as yet untraveled by me, and receiving and giving awards. I received a few award notifications in India, but just ignored them. I was just trying not to bore my readers and to post daily. I have at the moment, 325 posts. Not quite one a day, but almost.

With awards come the decision to participate or not. I didn’t really want to post them on my page, but I did want to thank people who enjoyed my blog and to encourage other bloggers when passing them on. My awards are listed under Awards in my categories, if anyone is interested. I remember in June, the first award I decided to pass along, took me hours to get through the process. Time has passed and I have gotten a tad faster, but it is without a doubt , a gift a love to send out the nominee notices.

Thank you to all who have read one or more of my posts, who have commented, followed, or liked. And thanks for today and whatever part you had in this moment. For me, it is a moment to remember. . . . . .
