This is an inspiring story of a neurosurgeon in Alabama who walked 6 miles to operate on a man who was deteriorating minute by minute due to a brain trauma. Dr. Zenko Hrynkiw was the only brain surgeon on staff at this hospital , and because of the snow and traffic jam, driving was impossible. Instead of being defeated by the elements, Dr. Hrynkiw set out walking from the hospital where he was when he got the call. He helped push several cars on his way, but still arrived in two hours, and saved the man’s life!
A man filled with talent, humility, and inspiration; thank you Dr. Hrynkiw!
If only more doctors behaved like him. What a great story Anne. Thank you for sharing.✽
