  1. I believe many ‘pseudo-secularists’ would be relieved that Modi was not featured as the Times Man of the Year.

  2. Hi Annet,
    Nice post.

Annet, I am getting few comments in my blogs and comments say that my post are negative about India. I guess, there is certain truth in that. What is your opinion?

No no one has been rude to me and nothing to do with politics.
I am talking about my posts in general, like girls molested in train, pee mentality or Indian beaches not for the Indians. I would like your opinion. Do these posts reflect that my posts are anti India. Are these posts negative

I just quickly reread your posts. I really enjoyed the beach one because I have seen Indian people walking the beach. They have not had much opportunity to enjoy it and the modesty being as it is in India, bikinis and speedos are pretty much out of the questions.

The pee post is not something I would have posted but it was truthful. Maybe they are questioning not the varsity but the necessity of posting it
The train /rape /abuse of the little girls…I guess the truth of how women and girls can be treated in India make Indian or some Indian people uncomfortable…and they should be! I think that this should not be pushed under the rug but put out in the open. This is the one negative topic all Americans seem to know as I was asked about it by many people. It is a stain on the reputation of your wonderful country. You as an Indian have every right in a democracy to say whatever you wish. I as an American think I need to be very respectful. 4. Thanks Annet, It really helps me.

After writing some posts, I did some research and found out that the best writing is about something you know and have gone through. That makes it truthful. Last few days have been quite conflicting to me as few have been pointed out that my posts are anti-India and I am portraying India in a negative way. I actually agree with them but at the same time feel that what I say is the truth and that’s why I have written about them.
Actually the last four or five days in India have been full of rape stories in India(including Delhi and a western woman rape) and I have all the info in my word file but I have refrained myself not to do negative reporting but at the same time I find myself at odds with me.
I want to post it but at the same time don’t want to be negative reporting but that is not possible.

I totally agree with you that you need to be respectful and that makes you so much truthful about it. Thanks for that. As far as I am concerned I need to fight my own demons.

Finally a Pope I can respect again. May even consider re-joining the church when I can get out again.
