Last night, we wanted to see a movie at home. David had seen the film in the 90s and thought this remake might be interesting. Oh my goodness, a film filled with extreme sports from beginning to end. It took us places we had never been not just with the sports stunts but actual amazing land and seascapes, mountains and air. Honestly the credits at the end are almost as long as the film from the crews in places all over the world. And it looks as if they , the actors, or stuntmen do the extreme sports. The plot is rather the vehicle to get them to yet another spectacular site and it is not preachy. . . if only a little! It is exciting and fun!
Better than the 1st make…
This is a superb new version.
I gave it 8/10 on IMDB

My problem with movies made from books is that they take the name of the book, the name of the character of the book — sometimes, and that is usually the end of the similarity. I then either sit thru a few minutes of the movie fussing at it for not following the script of the book I loved, or just fussing at myself for not learning the lesson the first time I made the mistake of trying to watch a movie based on a book I read. Now I’m mainly watching my Westerns and dramas on my movie channels here at home Anne, and loving the new cable channels I am able to get with our improved system. And oh, how I loved the book, “Point Break”.

I really enjoyed the movie, though I had not read the book. I think it is best to read the book first and see the images created by the words. I loved “The Boys in the Boat” and it is being made into a movie. I will see when it is released. So glad you are enjoying your films!
