A Lesson on Dealing with Politicians

Where has our dream gone of a country governed for and by the people? Why  has our vision disappeared?  It is just accepted  now that we can’t do anything to change Washington or the politicians.

There is an election in just two weeks and the  interest is minimal according to the  pollsters.  Just this year we have seen that India had  an unprecedented  65% of eligible voters vote, standing in line for hours to participate in the greatest duty of a citizen living in a democracy. The people rose up and elected “their” candidate and ousted the Congress  party that had been in  power since the late 40’s when India became independent.  That was May 2014.

In September , 2014 there was a referendum for an independent Scotland. There was 85%  eligible voter turnout!  Promises for additional devolved powers were made by the English Prime Minister if Scotland would vote “No” for Independence.  The vote was 45% Yes and 55% No.  Guess what?  The politicians that “Promised” more autonomy to Scotland are now back pedaling  and  giving all sorts of reasons to be unable to fulfill their promises.  What are the Scots doing?  Are they just accepting that this is politics and their dream is unfulfillable ?   No, there are rallies, court cases, and strong leaders stepping up to be the drivers of the dream. All possiblites of irregularities in voting and even outright cheating is being investigated.   They accept they have hit a road bump, but they are speeding ahead  after recovering from the disappointment of the  vote.

Now to the United States. . . . what % of eligible  voters participate here ? According to Pew Research the voting in an off year election when the president is not up for election or reelection is 37% (2010).   On the last  year of  presidential election (2012) , a mere 54% of voters participated.

People need to be informed and educated voters and  then vote, tell  your politicians of your  needs, get involved or we may wake up one morning and this  “grand experiment”  of democracy in the United States of America will be over !

Your thoughts please?

I believe the people of the USA can’t change politics with a vote. Scotland (My Country) just found this out. America

Oh Shaun, that is so final. . . and I hope and pray Scotland is able to overcome. . . . . . and of course the US, too!

Sadly it’s final. You came to the Party late Anne…(I mean this in the nicest way possible) I have been invited to the party 15 years or so now. I warned and blogged and did forums and got mocked…
        Sadly I was right…

This very small group who sit around a table set the agenda for 7 BILLION people…Time will show that a “New World Order” will indeed happen…They don’t hide it. As I once said, the best place to hide something is in plain sight…

    (hit enter too quick)
American people have been asleep at the wheel too long. Did foreign policy change from Bush to Obama? America CREATES WAR. Money is made from war. The end game is always black gold (oil)

Should America’s people choose to use their constitutional right and change politics…GREAT

Sadly it is too late America. Scotland is fighting this very Evil, and we will win again, we can do so due to the country being small, we can mobilize 2 million people in under an hour if planned right.

Sadly, this is America’s truth here

Shaun, I just hope that our time has not run out yet and that we have not squandered it on this earth. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Sadly it is too late. A small group of people decide for 7 BILLION PEOPLE…

If you don’t know Earth. And you fly towards it in a space ship (Go with me here, lol) And you learn 93% of this place believes in God..One would presume it’s a peaceful place..

Imagine the shock finding the truth..

That is the same truth many are waking up to on this World as we speak

  3. The United States needs to make election day a public holiday. Business currently only have to allow you to go vote, but it’s unpaid. Thus, people don’t go.

Being a teacher , I could always go after school. Truthfully, I didn’t know what the business people do. I think in Europe some countries vote on the weekends. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

America is not done….Yet. This is the beginning of a culture war as our great republic breathes out it’s dying gasps. There are those that will not accept what is coming and stand ready to resist. We live in dangerous and interesting times and the resistance will be on many fronts. Some of those fronts will be political and others not as people finally wake up to what is going on. I believe that what happened at the Bundy ranch foreshadows the future for America. Many people thought that it would be the shot heard round the world, but I believe that it is more likened to the Boston tea party. The “Three percent” made clear their intent to the powers that be that they have no intent on submitting. Best regards to all of you in your fight for liberty, no matter where you are.
