‘It is with heavy heart and deep sadness that we mourn the passing away of Ajay Mody, also known as Ajaytao, blogger of “Ajaytao2010” and the “Ajaytao Botanical Photography” blogs. He left this world on the 10th August 2014 after a short illness at his home in Mumbai, India.‘
I stare at the screen in shock while I read these words on the blog of my friend Vijay.

I am really affected by this. We never (or I should say I didn’t in this instance) don’t know what’s going on with people and the battles they face in life whether it be physical or emotional. I can’t get my mind around this. He only wanted to be liked and was always kind. It’s just so sad.

Laura, you are right but I don’t think we can know more than people choose to reveal to us. I knew he had cancer and was housebound in Mumbai. Maybe he told me because of my love of India. It is sad that we connect but it is still fleeting.

Oh of course we can’t, but we should keep it in mind…people should I mean, in general. I think compassion should never be far from our hearts and minds.
