   I was in elementary school in the 1960s and early 1970s, and guns were never once mentioned. How do they come up with the stuff?

     Hey Debra, I have heard that the government is wanting to have gun safety in the schools. At first glance that seems reasonable. But It is also reasonable that parents take that responsibility. Many homes don’t have guns. I have also heard that this is to encourage students to be taught to reject guns and thus our Constitutional right to have weapons. we don’t have weapons but I am tired of the government in all our business. . . . and as a teacher tired of them being in our classrooms! 😎
