Yellow Cable’s Summer Music Monday, The Everly Brothers, “Til I Kissed You”

The Everly Brothers were indeed brothers, Phil and Don. They were most  popular during the 1960s with country influenced rock and their close harmony style.  The brothers  were honored by induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Country Hall of Fame,  and being included on “Rolling Stone’s” 100 greatest artists.

Do you remember the Everly Brothers?  A favorite  song? Does this remind you of summer?  I really like “Wake Up Little Susie, too”

  1. Oh, got really nostalgic when I heard his. I remember one of their songs coming out and my friend singing it to me, it sounded awful, and nothing like the real version when I finally heard it: Cathy’s Clown!

The Everly brothers were one of my parents favorite groups so this music was on a lot when I was young. Wake Up Little Suzie, is one of my favorites. Simpler times those were 🙂

Well you are right of course but the lyrics were quite risque fro Wake Up Little Susie in the time of curfews that were mandatory and enforced at least in my household!
      Thanks for the comment !
