As a matter of fact…. This one always cracked me up, especially the first time I saw them perform it a very very long time ago. Back in my Hippie Daze.
I do love the more ‘traditional’ Beach Boys tunes as well.
“Wouldn’t it be nice” is probably my favorite.

    L O L . . . .love Oakie from Muskogee…..”Where squares can have a ball!” ….C’es moi!

I have a Beach Boys story….husband and I were in Charlottesville at UVA for his grad school. He drew posters for concerts for tickets….hardly a fair payment for all his work, but we were poor. Beach Boys came and they had started writing some new sounds. . . . dope smoking crowd was not happy. . . they wanted the original songs . Finally BB gave in and sang “their” tunes. . “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” is very nice. . . . indeed.

It was during that time that we saw Janice Joplin. . . . oh my gosh…was I, conservative, protected southern girl from VA, shocked at what I saw and heard from her . . . .

    Loved, loved, loved James Taylor!

Thanks for the music treat. My favorite beach boys song is Kokomo.
My favorite beach here in Southern California is Venice. The people are a lot of fun.
