Fighting Monkeys

I loved the monkeys and was always on the look-out in the trees, on the walls , or sitting on car roofs in the city as we walked around.  We never had a bad experience with any of them. We were told early on that if monkeys are hungry and see a person whose hand is in his or her pocket, the monkey will  assume there is food for him.  Also, we were cautioned about putting down  sun glasses or other objects on a table or wall because a monkey  may swoop down and steal the object especially shining objects.

Monkeys as well as feral dogs and are the reason that inoculation for rabies is recommended for a visit to India.  I didn’t have one on the last trip, but will for the next.  Did you see those monkey teeth?
