  2. YellowCable says:

They are eyes popping to see.

  3. Very good!! It’s all about the cropping!! Artistic license at it’s best 🙂

  4. Dalo 2013 says:

Incredible and awesome! How it all depends on perspective…I guess you can say the same about life as well. Really something to see all these…wow, have to check them out again 🙂

  5. Arpan says:

Interesting perspectives indeed! As a photographer, this is how I feel: If you want a feeling of mystery/magnanimity, then take a close frame. But, if you want to show the big picture/explain why something/someone is happening/behaving the way they do, then take the big frame.

  6. lauramacky says:

I’ve been fortunate enough to have seen a lot of those places but never from those angles! Nice!

  7. Cee Neuner says:

Great examples…..I loved going through these.

  8. Beautiful, beautiful photographs. As in life – close up isn’t always best, sometimes you need to step away to see the big picture . Thanks for sharing so many gorgeous perspectives! ~Karen~

  9. t smith knowles says:

    fascinating…….thanks…….

  10. I wonder how it is to see see the pyramids from your backyard…

I have been to Egypt and was so surprise that the Giza praymaids were ever so close to Cairo! The shots always look to me as if they are way out in the desert sand, but you can see otherwise. I am sure that the Egyptians just take them for granted as we would too. The tourist business is a huge part of the economy. Not sure many tourists are visiting now with the political uprising. I loved it there but don’t think I would go now. Professor always says ” I don’t want to be anyone’s political statement! ” Me either. . . . . .

  11. reocochran says:

You gave us lots to think about, along with a collection of such beauty and majesty, too. I like the ones where they are more traditional, like the pyraminds straight on, not from the sky looking down. Doesn’t that show that I am not as creative as I should be? Hmmm… The Mont St. Michel all lit up was the most gorgeous one and my favorite of all!

  12. Reblogged this on talkerblogger and commented:
    Speechless !!!!

  13. I have always been passionate about history and architecture … This was the most beautiful post I have seen in a very long time !!!!!!

  14. Did you take the pictures ????

    • annetbell says:

No, I found it on the net. Amazing pictures ! The link is at the beginning of the post, giving credit. So glad you enjoyed it !

      • Got it, but I appreciate the time and effort that went into putting it together 🙂

      • annetbell says:

You are sweet. I wish I had taken these pictures. . . . I have been to many of the sites. It amazed us that the Giza pyramids were just on the edge of one of the world’s largest cities. . . . Cairo !

      • I know! Someone who travelled to Egypt told me that it’s not as glamorous as it seems in the pictures .. It’s just large structures by the city .. I have always wanted to go there , as long as I can remember

      • annetbell says:

Professor said that he had wanted to visit Egypt for his whole life for the history and of course the pyramids, but after 20 minutes he couldn’t wait to leave ! But he loved India….I loved Egypt too as we made some people connections which is what I love. Sadly Egypt is not very safe now with the turmoil. I hope they gain their democracy. Someone in the past told us that Egypt and India were comparable with density , chaos, traffic, poverty. Both pretty intense. . . .

      • I know .. I too have been advices to stay away from
Egypt for the exact same reason .. It’s a bit disappointing

      • annetbell says:

Hopefully, things will get better there. They desperately need the tourists as it is the main revenue in the country

Professor says he doesn’t want to be someone’s political statement and most people feel that way. . . . . .

      • Who is the professor ..?? Sorry

      • annetbell says:

Husband is the the professor or the architect. . . . sorry !

        He is a professor of architecture. . . .
