Ravi, Internationally Known Fan Vender in Mumbai

Ask yourself what talents and gifts displayed by Ravi  could contribute to India or even the world?  Here is a  boy who is so gifted linguistically  with only a 4th or 5th grade education.  India has the highest number of college educated young people in the world.  Yes, more than China due to their one child policy.   The Indian youth are  anxious to  use their gifts and skills to make India and the world a better place for all of us and yes to benefit from the free market principals.  They are educated , pumped, and ready to lead! This YouTube video  has almost  2 million hits. If you go to YouTUbe, there are other videos of Ravi being interviews about his family.  If you are in Mumbai, look him up and do buy a fan made by his grandmother! You will have an inspirational  story to tell, as well!

Thanks Judy !

My father spoke five or six languages. I speak two: English and Texican, oh and Bullshit. Guess that makes three. Oh, and I speak just enough Arabic, Hebrew, and French to get me in serious trouble. (still working on the Spanish)
For example: When I was in Kuwait, ‘waiting’ to go into Iraq, I would speak Hebrew on the elevator.
    My friends would freak!
“Dammit Marcom! Stop speaking Jew! You’re gonna get us killed.”
“Yeah!” I said, “Ain’t that cool? “That these folks understand Hebrew?”
(no one was amused but me)

This is a wonderful post and I do love it.
Thank you for making me smile.

I just wish that someone would adopt him and see that he got an education instead of having him sell the rest of his life on the street.

Yes me too, perhaps he will get there one way or another – escape the poverty and lack of opportunity around him – he certainly seems to have the intelligence and courage
