I love this among other Mother Teresa quotes. Giving and showing love is the greatest thing we can do. We are all called to love question is will you? Oh I do believe I will. Thank you for Anne Bell for posting this lovely MT quote.

Anne, I started doing some research on this quote, and found that it is often wrongly attributed to Mother Teresa. The original poem is called the Paradoxical Commandments and a version of the poem hung on the walls of her office in Calcutta. The original doesn’t have the last two lines (which I think give such beautiful meaning to the quote).

Actually I loved the words so much, I wanted to use the quote. So I thought I should just do some research about them. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful quote and very inspiring. Somehow attributing them to Mother Teresa gives the words more weight don’t you think? It’s a very common attribution BTW.

I am impressed because that is what we should do before using something. It all did sound to me as if they were her words. And yes, very encouraging and inspiring.
