We spent Saturday going from beach to beach on the north shore ending at Sunset Beach. There were 5, yes, 5 lines of waves visible at once. We could see little heads of surfers bobbing in the distance waiting for the prefect wave. The waves are highest in October and November when they are 50 feet high for the World Championship of Surfing!
Hawaiian waves sure make the East coast ones look wimpy!
Super !!! I love surfing. No chance for such waves here. Cheers. 🙂

I’m in Rome. We have the sea, in fact I’m just writing something about it, but there are no such waves.

buongiorno! I am terribly lazy and speak English pretty well. I learned a few words, mostly nouns like babno and would used my hands and smile. If I got hopelessly confused, I would say mi dispiace, io sono un uomo americano! which they would laugh, kiss me and correct the gender. Husband was mortified but I got along!
Ciao!
I have several posts on Albergo Sole, Piazza Navona, Bafana,Check them out…also St Peters….If you can’t find them in my archives and are interested, let me know and I will send you the links!

Yeah, I know gender can be a great problem for non Italians, but we don’t mind. It’s funny. I’ve read your posts and liked 🙂

When people ask if I could only recommend one place where would it be. And Italy is my answer the creativity , design, architecture, painting, sculpture clothes, shoes, ruins, food, just everything. . . .
There are some challenges there ….but most amazing places Venice is my #1 favorite city in the world!

This country is amazing and unique, there is only one problem…….politics 😦

Yes….a problem everywhere really. A problem for tourists is too much Mediterranean temperament….not much discipline, chaos…but all that goes along with the creativity, I guess.

My husband enjoys surfing. I do boogie boarding (body boarding). I used to live in Oahu. I was more of a hiker in the island than anything. Seems like you enjoyed it!
