A lovely video of Adalaj Ni Vav, a little politics showing the roads of Gujurat, parrots flying around, Indians enjoying their treasures , and the elegant Adalaj Ni Vav. I couldn’t find the Amatabh Bachchan Breathe a Bit of Gujarat , but it is quite good and will make you want to see this amazing architecture in person!

The architectural details of Indo-Islamic design are so intricate. Just wonderful! I also enjoyed learning how to pronounce the place names from the video. Now when I read your posts, I won’t be saying some of them wrongly in my mind… although they always sound funny to me in my southern accent when I speak them out loud. 😉

My husband and I were custom home builders in the south before moving to Colorado. I did much of the interior design in our houses, and I designed all of the cabinets and built-ins. It was a very rewarding time in my life… helping others to create their new homes and spaces. I learned a great deal about architecture and design. Some of it stuck! 😉

Oops! Darn phone! I am from VA though I haven’t lived there in ages. I still have my accent which I can dress! I always say I am from VA and live in NY! I am sure you as a southern women understand. We also lived in Manhattan KS for my architect’s first teaching position. Love CO! Your job helping people have their dream house sounds lovely!
