This is the kind of image often used to show  urban congestion  and yes I have seen and experienced  it many times as we were in cities most of our time in India.

This video shows  more rural traffic.   When I saw it , I thought of the ride up  the mountain to Mt Abu and the road to Eklingi in Rajasthan .  Anyway, it gives you an idea of the roller coaster ride we found ourselves on so often!   Monkeys lined up on the block fence in the video  for food to be tossed from the passing vehicles.
